Tanna Coffee will represent Vanuatu at Australia’s largest food trade exhibition later this month, joining 14 other exporters from across the Pacific in a regional showcase aimed at connecting premium island products with international buyers.
The Vanuatu coffee producer will exhibit under the Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia Pacific Showcase at Fine Food Australia 2026, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 31 to September 3.
Fine Food Australia attracts more than 900 exhibitors and thousands of buyers, distributors, retailers and foodservice professionals from Australia and overseas. The exhibition provides Pacific businesses with an opportunity to showcase their products alongside established international brands and connect directly with commercial buyers.
This year’s Pacific Showcase brings together 15 exporters from eight Pacific economies, including Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Niue and French Polynesia, highlighting the diversity and growing sophistication of the Pacific’s food and beverage sector.
Alongside Tanna Coffee, exhibitors under the PTI Australia banner include Fiji Kava, VaiWai Natural Water, Fiji Fire Hot Sauce, Heritage Kava Fiji, SolTuna from Solomon Islands, The Cocoa Provider, PNG Kava, Banz Kofi Fektori from Papua New Guinea, Nishi Foods from Tonga, Niue Honey Company, Niue Vanilla Organic, Wilex Samoa with its Koko Loa range, and Bora Bora Sea Salt from French Polynesia. Together they will showcase products including premium coffee, cocoa, sustainably sourced tuna, natural mineral water, kava, vanilla, honey, artisanal sea salt and wild turmeric.
For more than a decade, PTI Australia has used the Pacific Showcase to help exporters build relationships with buyers, distributors and retailers while raising the profile of Pacific products in the Australian market. Previous showcases have resulted in distributor agreements, retail placements and new commercial partnerships, with many exporters returning after securing valuable business contacts through earlier PTI-supported exhibitions.
PTI Australia General Manager of Exports Jeremy Grennell said the Pacific Showcase demonstrates the value of presenting Pacific businesses under a single regional banner.
“Fine Food Australia is one of the region’s premier trade events, and the Pacific Showcase ensures our exporters have a strong presence in a highly competitive international marketplace,” he said.
“By exhibiting together, Pacific businesses benefit from greater visibility and a stronger collective identity while still promoting the unique qualities of their individual products. It creates opportunities that many smaller exporters would find difficult to achieve on their own.
“Our role extends well beyond the four days of the exhibition.
“We work with exporters throughout the year to build export capability, prepare them for international markets and connect them with the right commercial partners. Fine Food Australia is where those efforts translate into meaningful business conversations and long-term commercial opportunities.”
The Pacific Showcase forms part of PTI Australia’s broader programme to strengthen export capability across the Pacific and create sustainable economic opportunities for businesses throughout the region. Funded by the Australian Government, PTI Australia works with export-ready businesses to improve market access, attract investment and promote Pacific products internationally.
Visitors to Fine Food Australia can experience the Pacific Showcase throughout the four-day exhibition, sampling products ranging from specialty coffee and premium cocoa to sustainably sourced seafood, artisanal sea salt, vanilla, honey, kava and other premium products that reflect the diversity and richness of the Blue Pacific.
