Loh gets weekly flight

By Hilaire Bule.

Air Vanuatu is now making regular flights to Loh Airport in Torres islands in TORBA province.

Its first flight landed last Friday after more than two years since the airline suspended its service due to its financial problems and the engine problems of its aircraft.

David Andrew from Loh island said 10 passengers from Torres boarded the first normal flight of Air Vanuatu’s Twin Otter to come to Luganville and Port Vila.

Mr. Andrew said that they were told last week that they will now have weekly flight on Friday.

He said a weekly flight is already better for them compared to no flights.

Mr Andrew said last Friday, they also sent coconut crabs to Port Vila and Luganville after more than two months that they have not been able to send them.

Coconut crabs are the main source of income for the people of Torres
