Kava Vine features Freshwota’s new gem: Wagaret Kava Bar

By Julia Charley

As the new week unfolds, Kava Vine takes you on a flavourful journey to the heart of Freshwota 5, where a brand-new nakamal has just made its debut. Welcome to Wagaret Kava Bar, a vibrant addition to the community, owned by the enterprising Gilbert Bule from East Pentecost.

Mr. Bule, known for his successful Wagaret Kava Bar at Nambatu Lagoon, has brought his passion for kava to Freshwota with a new venue that is already making waves. The kava served here is a special blend, sourced directly from East Pentecost, and aged for five years to ensure a rich and robust flavour. Every night, Mr. Bule and his team prepare between 7 to 15kg of this exceptional kava, and with their own grinder on-site, they ensure a fresh supply for their eager patrons.

Wagaret Kava Bar has been operating for nearly a month, and by all accounts, it’s thriving. Bule recently invested in the land using earnings from his first bar at Nambatu Lagoon, reflecting the success and growth of his kava venture. This business not only benefits Bule but also supports his six family members who work alongside him, contributing to the community in meaningful ways.

One of the highlights of Wagaret Kava Bar is its unique two-story layout. The second floor offers a stunning view of Freshwota, providing a delightful backdrop for enjoying your kava. The venue itself is clean, well-presented, and boasts excellent customer service from the friendly staff. With a diverse menu of mouth-watering snacks and a comfortable atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to unwind.

The kava is ready by 4pm daily, and whether you’re a seasoned kava enthusiast or new to the experience, Wagaret Kava Bar promises a top-notch tasting session. With its outstanding kava and inviting ambiance, it’s a must-visit destination.

So, come on down to Wagaret Kava Bar and experience the best of Freshwota’s kava scene. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
