Vanuatu has unveiled its branding for the Vanuatu Pavilion at World Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka, Japan.

The pavilion will showcase the nation’s vibrant cultural heritage, tourism, exports, investments, and diverse traditions.

A consultant with Crafting Adventure and Experiences, Melissa Bule, highlighted tourism, trade, and investment opportunities as the exhibition’s three components.

“Before we begin our communication strategy, it’s crucial to showcase our plans to key stakeholders who have been involved in the preparations,” Bule explained, adding that the branding effort would not have been possible without the support of their graphic designer, who crafted the visual elements for the exhibit.

The pavilion’s theme, “Resilient Arts and Empowered Lives,” aligns with the broader World Expo theme and carries Vanuatu’s message to the world. “We are a resilient people with resilient hearts, and through our collaborations, we empower one another,” Bule said. The launch event also provided an overview of the roles of the Commissioner General for Osaka Expo 2025, led by Director Joe from External Trade, and included remarks from the Ambassador of Japan, who emphasized the ongoing government-to-government partnership between Japan and Vanuatu.

Bule noted the importance of a local awareness campaign, stating, “We need to communicate domestically within Vanuatu about how we will showcase our nation to the world at the Expo.” She added that Vanuatu is also inviting exporters to showcase their products in Japan as part of the exhibit.

Vanuatu’s participation in world expos has spanned several years, beginning with Expo 2020 in Dubai, with Osaka 2025 marking the next chapter in its journey to the global stage.

“This is not Vanuatu’s first time participating in a World Expo, but we’re determined to present something truly unique,” Bule added.
