Port Vila, Vanuatu — 29 October 2024 – Kavanua, an emerging skincare brand from Vanuatu, celebrated a successful debut at the prestigious 2024 Beauty Salon in London, marking the first time a Ni-Vanuatu company has participated in the renowned beauty exhibition. Sponsored by the United Kingdom Trade Program (UKTP) through the International Trade Centre (ITC), this inaugural showcase provided Kavanua an invaluable opportunity to introduce its innovative skincare products crafted from Kava and Monoi to an international audience.

The UKTP, a UK government-funded initiative, is designed to help partner countries bring their businesses into the UK market, supporting sustainable economic growth. Through the ITC, Kavanua was selected to represent the unique beauty and skincare offerings of Vanuatu on this global stage.

During the four-day event, Kavanua joined other Pacific Island and Sri Lankan businesses, gaining insights and skills in a series of coaching sessions focused on negotiation skills over the first two days. The remaining days were dedicated to showcasing Kavanua’s exclusive range to a receptive public eager to explore new beauty frontiers. This unique blend of kava and Monoi, ingredients revered in both Vanuatu and Tahiti for their cultural significance and rich properties,resonated deeply with attendees, offering them a rare glimpse into the traditions and rituals that underpin the brand.
