Due to technical challenges caused by the recent earthquake, 96.3 Buzz FM will discontinue transmission on the 96.3 frequency and transition to a fully digital streaming platform under the new name Vanuatu Buzz FM ONLINE.
This strategic move strengthens the Daily Post Digital Network, which already enjoys over 300,000 monthly page views, further cementing its position as Vanuatu’s leading source of fact-checked news and digital content.
With this transition, Vanuatu Buzz FM ONLINE will become a gold-format music station featuring regular news updates and exclusive programs, which will also be available as podcasts. The station aims to reach a broad international audience, including former residents, expatriates, frequent travelers, and RSE workers who maintain strong ties to Vanuatu.
“We aim to be an authoritative digital broadcaster on Vanuatu-related topics,” said Peter Stadly, Director of Business Development at the Daily Post.
“With easy-listening gold-format music and engaging programs, we anticipate attracting a large international audience. By integrating Vanuatu Buzz FM ONLINE with the Daily Post website, which enjoys high traffic, we are also creating a valuable digital advertising platform for businesses looking to reach a highly engaged audience.”
The transition to streaming will be complemented by an enhanced Buzz FM website, featuring updated content, new advertising opportunities, and podcast accessibility for key programs, including The Mark O’Brien Show, Moses Stevens, and Kizzy’s Nightly News. This move ensures that Vanuatu Buzz FM ONLINE remains at the forefront of digital radio in the Pacific.
