Punjas Vanuatu steps up with food donations for earthquake victims

Punjas Vanuatu Ltd donated basic food items to the Government through the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster yesterday, for families affected by the recent disaster.

“After the recent earthquake, most people and private sectors have been affected, and so has Punjas. However, we are grateful that all our employees and their families were safe. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to those who have been affected. This small contribution is for those families going through hard times, and we pray for a fast recovery for all the people of Vanuatu,” said Punjas Country Manager Ronal Prasad.

“During this crisis, the staff and management of Punjas worked very hard to resume services, opening retail and wholesale at Nambatri the very next day after the disaster. Despite many challenges, we managed to deliver basic food items to our customers and are committed to continuing to serve them in the future.”
