Port Vila Market to reopen by end of June

The Port Vila City Council (PVCC) Town Clerk, David Hopa, has confirmed the main market in town will reopen by the end of June once all repairs are complete.

Mr. Hopa said the committee is currently reviewing the market’s waste management plan and assessing damage from December’s earthquake.

The work prioritises the safety of vendors and customers.

He added that vendors and shoppers will have access as soon as plans are finalised and the market is ready.
