Pacific Energy launches new Gas Station in North Efate

Pacific Energy (PE), a leading energy provider in the South Pacific, is proud to announce the inauguration of its new gas station in North Efate, which took place on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

The event was witnessed by First Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tanna Constituency, Andrew Napuat, Chief Manlae Sinu, Chief Marmara, land owner Kalsarap Kamaere and Annie Fricotte financial and administrative manager and Glen Niowenmal operation manager of PE, staff and members of the public.

The energy provider said this milestone event reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to enhancing energy accessibility, affordability, and sustainability across Vanuatu.

“Since the adoption of the National Energy Road Map in 2006, Pacific Energy has been at the forefront of modernising Vanuatu’s energy infrastructure,” it conveyed through a statement.

“The company has strategically invested over VT1 billion in various projects, significantly contributing to the national economy, job creation, and infrastructure development.”

Strategic Expansion and Investments

On expansion of service stations, PE has established 21 innovative container service stations across the archipelago, with a total investment of nearly VT350 million. These stations are strategically located, including in remote areas, to ensure widespread accessibility and affordability of energy services. Opening such a station have a great impact on maintaining a fair pricing.

It is a guarantee to affordability for all communities.

Infrastructure Developments

Significant investments in Vila and Santo, including pipelines, storage tanks, and service stations, have improved the entire product delivery chain, enhancing operational efficiency and storage capacity.

Airport Fuel Facilities

Investments in transport and storage equipment at Bauerfield Airport and the development of fuel facilities at Tanna Airport are crucial for ensuring a reliable aviation fuel supply.

Upcoming Projects

PE is committed to ongoing development, with plans for further expansion in Tanna and Malekula. Additionally, the introduction of a barge service will revolutionize fuel delivery to remote areas, further strengthening energy accessibility and affordability.
