The Grand Hotel Vanuatu will reopen on 6 March 2026, following a period of refurbishment. The hotel’s casino reopened on 4 December 2025. The relaunch includes upgraded rooms and suites, refreshed facilities, and a coral-coloured exterior.
“After a period of rebuilding, the Grand is back,” said Bettina Mahieu, Managing Director of Grand Hotel & Casino Vanuatu. “We look forward to welcoming guests, patrons, and the community to experience the updated hotel.”
Located on the edge of Port Vila harbour, the hotel offers 74 rooms and suites with harbour views, private balconies, marble bathrooms, and modern amenities. Dining options include the Grand Dining Room, Cabana Pool Bar, and Lobby Lounge. The property also has five meeting and event spaces.
The reopening will be accompanied by a three-night package starting at AUD1,190, which includes accommodation, breakfast, VT10,000 hotel credit per room, a welcome glass of Taittinger Champagne per guest, return airport transfers, and Wi-Fi. The offer runs from 6 March to 30 May 2026, subject to availability.
Mark Stanford, Chief Operating Officer and Hotel General Manager, said the package provides guests an opportunity to experience the upgraded hotel.
