ANZ backs digital economy in Vanuatu

Visitors to Vanuatu can now purchase and pay for an online eVisa to enter the country, enabled by ANZ’s eGate online payment platform.

“Tourism remains vital to Vanuatu’s economy, contributing to the recovery of both tourism and non-tourism businesses since borders reopened,” ANZ Vanuatu Country Head, Terence Low, relayed in a statement.

“As one of the only countries in the Pacific to offer online eVisa’s, ANZ is pleased to contribute to Vanuatu’s image as a forward-looking, digital economy.

“The online eVisa is part of the Migration Information and Data Analysis System border management system and is expected to benefit business travellers in particular.

“ANZ is pleased to partner with the Government of Vanuatu, Department of Vanuatu Immigration and Passport Services, Ministry of Internal Affairs and the International Organisation for Migration on this important border management milestone.”
