Air Taxi overcomes past challenges to win TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2024

Despite its bad reputation of crashed landing, crashed take off and engine failure that caused one of their aircraft to drown, Air Taxi recently award winning recognition, as the TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award 2024.

On Wednesday this week, Air Taxi announce that it has been recognised in Tripadivsor’s® Travelers’ Choice® Awards for 2024, stating the award honors businesses that consistently earn great reviews, placing them among the top 10% of listings around the world on Tripadvisor.

Paul Pio, Director of the Department of Tourism (DoT) congratulated Air Taxi on the recent award-winning recognition, acknowledging that Air Taxi has provided critical domestic air connectivity for decades in Vanuatu. It has been instrumental throughout the COVID-19 period and also at this time, since the announcement of the temporary suspension of domestic services by Air Vanuatu.

“Air Taxi has had to fill in, not only for our international guests, but also for domestic travelers. It plays a vital role in our tourism economy, connecting international guests to our outer islands, to experience the best of what Vanuatu is about,” Director Pio stated.

“With the revamp of its aircraft fleet, adding more Britten Norman islander aircraft in its network, it is a plus for our guests’ experience and reliability of services. More seat capacity as well to ensure sufficient demand that will benefit our local tourism operators.”

Air Taxi’s Press Release (PR) on the 3rd of July, affirmed that as the world’s largest travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor has unparalleled authority with travelers and diners, citing “This award is based on genuine feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period, making it a valuable and trustworthy designation of great places to visit.”

In the PR, Air Taxi’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) thanked their customers for taking the time to provide feedback and reviews of their services. The CEO also acknowledged their hard-working staff who have helped make this a possibility.

John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor, also congratulated Air Taxi Vanuatu on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2024, stating that the Travelers’ Choice honors businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence.
