PM’s Office DG visits PENAMA to address aviation needs

Director General (DG) Cherol Ala from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), supported by the Australian Government’s P4A programme, visited PENAMA Province on 10 October 2024, to explore and understand aviation challenges.

In meetings with community and government leaders in Longana and Lonorore, the need for more reliable air services was emphasised, particularly for boosting trade, tourism, and family connections.

The vital role of aviation in improving healthcare, education, and banking access was also discussed. The team will continue visiting other provinces next week to gather community feedback and assess regional flight needs and opportunities.
