A 22-inch LCD monitor donated by Titan FX will support the Vanuatu Tourism Office’s (VTO) efforts to promote the country at Japan Expo 2026, as Vanuatu steps up its focus on the Japanese tourism market.
The support comes ahead of the September event in Japan, where VTO will showcase Vanuatu’s tourism products, experiences and destinations to Japanese consumers and industry representatives.
VTO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adela Issachar Aru said the organisation was grateful for Titan FX’s support and described Japan as an important tourism market for Vanuatu.
CEO Aru said VTO began dedicated work targeting the Japanese market in 2025, with efforts continuing this year through a more focused approach to promotion and market development.
She said VTO now has a dedicated Japan Market Officer supported through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) volunteer programme.
According to CEO Aru, the officer has been actively involved in marketing Vanuatu and strengthening the country’s engagement with the Japanese tourism market.
“This year, we are very grateful that we will be participating in Japan Expo,” Aru said, noting that the event will be held in Japan in September.
She said VTO’s participation forms part of its efforts to strengthen Vanuatu’s presence in Japan and increase awareness of the country as a tourism destination.
As part of the partnership, Titan FX Vanuatu provided VTO with a 22-inch LCD monitor to support its promotional activities at Japan Expo 2026.
Jeremy Wilson, Manager for Long Haul Markets, said the equipment would support VTO’s presence at the Japanese consumer trade exhibition.
Aru said VTO had been working closely with Titan FX to secure support for its participation in the expo and welcomed the company as a partner in promoting Vanuatu tourism in Japan.
She said participation in major international trade and consumer events requires promotional materials and equipment to effectively showcase Vanuatu.
Aru said Japan was an important market for Vanuatu tourism and that VTO was committed to developing stronger connections with Japanese travellers and tourism stakeholders.
She said the dedicated work targeting Japan had continued into 2026, with additional support and resources, including the JICA-supported Japan Market Officer.
Aru said the approach was intended to give Japan more focused attention rather than treating it as part of a broader international tourism strategy.
Titan FX CEO Martin St-Hilaire said the company believed tourism remained one of the main drivers of economic growth in Vanuatu.
St-Hilaire said Titan FX had not supported VTO’s participation in the event the previous year but decided to come on board this year.
He said the company recognised the importance of tourism to Vanuatu’s economy and the economic opportunities created by the sector.
He said supporting VTO’s Japan market activities provided Titan FX with an opportunity to contribute to the international promotion of Vanuatu.
During the handover, Aru presented VTO merchandise to members of the Titan FX team as a gesture of appreciation.
The support comes as Vanuatu seeks to strengthen and diversify its international tourism markets.
With VTO’s dedicated Japan market programme now entering its second year, the Tourism Office aims to increase awareness of Vanuatu among Japanese travellers and strengthen relationships with the Japanese tourism industry.
Japan Expo 2026 will provide an opportunity for Vanuatu to promote its tourism offerings directly to the Japanese consumer market.
