Port Vila Mamas’ flower sale starts today to aid families

The President of the ‘Mamas’ Port Vila Flower Sale,’ Mr. Maurice Horry, is inviting the public to attend the Mamas’ sales at Independence Park, below the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from March 26 to 28.

Mr. Horry noted the challenges faced by the people of Port Vila following the reduction in job opportunities after the earthquake on December 17 last year. He mentioned that around 300 mothers are in need of cash to support their families and children’s education.

“For this reason, I encourage those who appreciate nature and care about beautifying the environment to visit our sale and see what we have,” he said.

“Purchasing flowers at our sale will directly help a family’s well-being, contributing to better education for children and a healthier lifestyle.”

Mr. Horry also thanked the mothers for their contributions to the Government’s efforts to beautify the environment with flowers and trees, helping in the fight against climate change.
